Hi everyone!
I’m a yoga lover that has been practicing since 2009. I’ve been teaching since 2018 at studios, gyms, country clubs, children’s programs, and private sessions as well.
I truly do love yoga; I’m addicted. I practice everyday. Saying that, it wasn’t love at first session. At that point in my life I was used to more strenuous workouts and thought yoga was kind of boring; not to mention I’m not the most spiritual or meditative person on the planet. My mentality was that if I wasn’t going to burn over 500 calories in 30 to 45 minutes, I wasn’t interested.
But a few years later, after a couple of babies (my body changed a lot) and a few running injuries, I revisited yoga for the more restorative and mind-body connection that I craved. I found my ‘why’ for yoga during that time of my life… and still, to this day, yoga is my way to unwind, calm, be slower to react, get better sleep and have more energy. The strength, flexibility, balance, body awareness and lean, tight physique are all added bonuses.
I still run and do other types of conditioning, but yoga is my supplement to those workouts… to recover, restore and reset. I emphasize this work/recovery approach to anyone I work with.
The bottom line is this: it’s all about taking care of yourself!
